The Swoosh has its latest minimalist lifestyle and, man, this’ll work. Today, get your eyeful of the Nike Roshe Run Donna HyperFresh, in an ostensibly paradisaical pack.
There’ve been some rumblings that this is a lifestyle remix of the Hyperdunk 2015 — thinkKD7 Lifestyle vs the on-court KD7 — and that’s not at all difficult to imagine (although the official “HyperFr35h” title does call to mind Kevin Durant). Note the distinct, seemingly one-piece sole unit with the extra-thick heel for one, a hallmark of the Hyperdunk 2015. The silhouette seems a match as well, albeit a bit lower.
But the tech is utterly and thankfully stripped down. The performance bells and whistles are gone, replaced with a simple, breathable textile upper, and even the sole unit, while sharing a shape with its basketball brethren, is more Roshe or Eclipse than court-ready. Whatever the inspiration, we’ll take the Nike Air Force Donna HyperFresh and its tropical motif, and we’ll take it soon, please.
The shoe — stylized as the HyperFr35h, but is anyone going to actually type that into Google? — has no release date on the books yet, so stay tuned. Dig the new addition to the ever-expanding minimalist lifestyle niche?
